My son is now 16 years old. I know! I don’t know how that happened. We have started looking at colleges for him. This process has started me thinking that in the not to distant future he will be out on his own. Which is both exciting and terrible all at the same time for both of us I think?

He was gone this last weekend on a trip to LA to look at some schools down there and they ran at Footlocker. This is the first time he has been away from home that I truly missed him. So I am feeling all sappy and sentimental so I thought I would do a Moments Captured. The hitch is that with him being 16 he has his own opinions about Mom’s crazy hobby, one of with is no photos of him on the blog. So I picked this photo, that I took on Ocean Beach when we where hanging out there one morning in the cold. Well it is always cold there; we splashed around in the waves, because honestly once your feet go numb why not. We walked 6.5miles along the water that day, all the while talking about the weird stuff that we always talk about. Over all it was a pretty awesome cold way to spend a day with him.

I like the words on the photo idea, so I thought I would pick a few that spring to mind when I talk about my little boy who is not so little anymore.
