Someone on twitter posted a link to a video about something, the related ones has the one below. After watching the video it made me start thinking about my own posts.

 

 

I feel that my posts are sub-par due to the fact that I struggle with editing. I have tried the trick of reading the out loud to find errors, but I am to “close” to the words at that time. I know what the words should be and not what they are, this process doesn’t always work for me.

What Jon suggests is that you write in batches, that way you can use the momentum that you have from one post and roll that in to the next one, writing begets writing. This means that I have to plan better what I want to put on the blog, this is a change for me. I tend to write, then post most of my content.

I have been trying this process out for the last few weeks, trying to see what I need to tweak to make it work for me and my life. I do like not having to worry about what I am going to post, because it is already scheduled to go. That way all I have to worry about is writing when I sit down to work on stuff for here.
