This was going to a review for the E.L.F. cosmetics cream eyeliner, I will still do that one but for now I need to Talk about work. I know it is a no fun topic, but ti seem to affect my whole world these days.

As some of you may know the frustration level with my job has been at an epic level of late. So it seems that was all coming to a head this week. Everyone involved was unhappy in some way, I finally was able to talk to my boss to-day. I was able to make my frustration know and he seemed to understand where I was coming from. I was also put on notice by him that I was coming across in a negative fashion. This was not really news to me I have been pretty much negative for a while now with regards to work. The fact that I was no longer able to hide it was what was the issue for me. I try to make changed to the way I interact with people but I seem to have been slipping deeper and deeper into the “I hate everything” place.

I told him that I was working on that but due to the list of things that cause the frustration that has built up over the years that it will not be an easy task. He agreed to take a look at the issue, but we have all heard that song and dance before. We refer to it as “promising ponies”. And over the years there have been tons of them promised, and yet some how I am still ponyless.

This time there where the standard ponies up on the block, this time I decided that I was going to make at least one of the main frustration factors in to that shiny pony that was just waiting for me. I did just that I put in motion the changes that need to be in place to deal with the lack of communication that is the main factor here.

We will see if the pony survives or not but at least I am not still waiting for the damn thing. So I guess they are right you need to be the change you want to see in the world even if that world is just you tiny part of it.

No the damn world better not end this weekend I will have made this break through for no reason.

There is no "us" in Team!

Just like there is no I in team there is no us in there either, This comes from a staff meeting that was had Tuesday. Some brief background here, our manager was sent to Hawaii for 4 months ( I know you feel so sorry for the guy). We have had another manager in the interim, he manages the building down the street. We will call him Currently-in-Charge (CiC). Let’s just say that they do not have the same style of…well anything. Most of the time we are two separate but not equal buildings, there are 5 of us in our office and there are like 11+ over there most times. We as a group have never worked as one cohesive unit.
So CiC will normally have a staff meeting with each building, separately. But for some reason we all had to meet together. Even after having been in attendance at the meeting I still don’t know why we had to be there. It seemed to me that the other group of 7 really didn’t need the 2 of us for anything other than to be there as they told us how awesome it the stuff they came up with really was.

” look what we did it’s awesome”

” Don’t you think it’s awesome the way that we are so awesome?”

” All you have to do is agree that we are awesome, that would just make everything awesome, because we are awesome. Don’t you think?”

That is really all I was hearing, for the whole meeting. While it is technically correct that there is no I in team there is only awesome them in team no us in the one we have to deal with.

Stuff, Things, and Coffee

At work I am not know for being a joiner, as is look we all want to get together and learn how to cook something as a “team building” event. I have no interest in this, at all. So, maybe this makes me a bad “team” member or just a bitchy person. I am not really sure which it is. Well that is not completely true I know that I am a bitchy person, so… anyway.

So the Current in Charge (CIC), suggested getting coffee on Friday. I was all “sure, I like coffee.” This was all very much to everyones surprise. Snarky always says “no thank you” when ever anything is offered like this.

For some reason free coffee was what was needed to get me to join in just a little. Who knew!

On a side note the question for today from the Daily Post is:

My answer to this would be, lots of ways. On the weekend I don’t spend much time with my electronics. (except to post daily & now with Script Frenzy) I would clean the house, work in the back yard, read a book, make a dress, craft something, nap or all of the above.

While I love my devices I can entertain myself with out them. I am old enough to remember a time when there was no interwebs, cell phones or computers for that matter. Yes that makes me old, I know.

Guess what ?I love my iPad!

With all the hype about the iPad 2 it got me thinking about my iPad, you know the old one that Apple doesn’t love any more and will stop updating at some point. It got me thinking, when some one asked me if was thinking about getting the new one now? Well the answer to that is no, I have decided that I love my sad out of date soon iPad.

My iPad is what I type most of my posts on, it fits in my handbag. I can walk over to the near by Starbucks to upload posts while I am at work, due to the fact that I have the wi-fi only one. I like that it is not my lap top ( which I also still love, just so it know that I don’t want the poor thing to feel bad) which is a bit big to put in my handbag.

I know that people complain about the fact that it is not good for typing on, it is hard to use for work of any sort, that it is good for just kids to watch stupid cat videos. I have to admit that it is a bit annoying to type on but you get the hang of it the more you use it. I did buy a Bluetooth keyboard to use with it.

So all of this is to say that I will not be getting a new iPad, I love mine just the way it is. I am still looking of the perfect case for it.
